Seven fire fighting vehicles manufactured for the Regional State Institution “Fire fighting Service of the Chelyabinsk Region” entered upon their combat duty this month:
-4 fire fighting vehicles on off-road chassis Ural 5557, with a wheel arrangement 6×6. Trucks belong to the heavy class and have 6000 liters water tanks . It is designed for delivery of fire-fighting crew, fire extinguishing agents and fire fighting equipment to the place of fire.
They are used to extinguish fires in human settlements, forests and at industrial facilities by supplying water from a tank, water bodies or hydrant to the place of fire with the help of hand and portable fire monitors, as well as to supply air-mechanical foam to the site of the fire
-3 fire fighting vehicles on chassis GAZ 33086 equipped with a three-ton water tank. Such truck belongs to medium-tonnage vehicles, reliable and off-road. Maintenance ability and reasonable price play an important role when choosing this model.
New equipment replaces 2-3 units of the old ones and significantly increases the efficiency of rescuers’ works.
