Safe Arctic 2023

From April 5 to April 7, 2023, the large-scale exercises Safe Arctic 2023 were finished in
Salekhard.
The experimental research exercise of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation
Safe Arctic – 2023 ended together with a large Arctic research expedition in Salekhard. The exercise
was held in the Arctic region from April 6 to 7 at the initiative of Alexander Kurenkov and on behalf of
Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The exhibition of specialized equipment was organized on the basis of this event.
Prioritet Ltd. represented its latest development – the fire tanker ATs-6.0-10 (AMT N.V.),
designed for operation in difficult climatic conditions of the Far North and the Arctic.
The vehicle is capable to operate in difficult road and climatic conditions, including the
conditions of the Far North and the Arctic. For this the chassis design provides following:
additional protection for the engine, assemblies and transmission elements, reinforced
suspension elements, reinforced towing devices, specially selected gear ratios, a set of necessary
options of the arctic version “frigid climate” for safe operation at temperatures from -45 to -60 °
C is installed. Lubricants and antifreeze in the truck are with a crystallization temperature below
-60°C.
The event was attended by 21 federal executive authorities, 2 state corporations and 11 organizations,
as well as almost 40 representatives from 13 countries. The head of the Ministry of Emergency
Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov listened to the reports of the heads of the main departments
of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in nine northern regions and summed up the results
of the large-scale exerciseSafe Arctic – 2023 : The complex of educational, practical, scientific
research and activities demonstrated the ability and readiness of forces and means to operate in the
harsh northern latitudes. We were able to test the advanced models of equipment in practice, to test the
new tactics of the rescue sections.
